DOCK 01CAR HAULER
Car hauling dispatch that plans the whole trailer, not one car at a time
Three cars can mean three pickups, two drops, a dealer, a private seller and a COD payment. Car hauling dispatch is mostly sequencing: which cars fit together, in what order, and who pays when. We build the trip, you approve it and drive it.
DOCK 02THE PUZZLE
The car hauler puzzle
Several pickups per trip
Each car has its own pickup address and window. A good trip fills every slot without zigzagging across the state.
Different kinds of customers
Dealers, auctions, brokers and private owners each have their own hours, paperwork and ways of paying.
COD and payment terms
Some cars pay on delivery, some pay later through a broker. Mixing them without a plan is how money goes missing.
Damage questions
A scratch nobody wrote down at pickup becomes your problem at delivery. Inspection discipline is the only defense.
Weight on a light trailer
Wedge trailers on a dually have tight weight limits. One heavy pickup truck in the wrong slot changes the whole load.

DOCK 04WHAT WE DO
What our car hauler dispatch service does
- Sources cars on the car haul boards and through brokers
- Filtered by your trailer type, slot count and lanes.
- Builds the trip
- Groups cars that pick up close together and drop on the same line, so the trailer is full for most of the miles.
- Confirms payment terms
- COD amount and form, or broker payment terms, written down for every car before you accept.
- Sets the stop order
- Pickup windows, dealer hours and drop times lined up so you are not waiting on a closed lot.
- Reminds you to inspect
- Photos and a signed condition report at every pickup and delivery, on every car.
- Plans the next trip
- We start filling the next trailer before this one empties.
Inspection and paperwork on every car
In car hauling, the bill of lading usually doubles as the condition report. At pickup, you and the customer walk the car, mark existing damage on the vehicle diagram and both sign. At delivery, the receiver checks it again before signing.
Take photos from every side at both ends, with the odometer and VIN, and keep them with the BOL. If a damage claim comes up, those photos and the signed report are what settles it. We remind you on every load because skipping it once is all it takes.
CDL or not: how car haulers are set up
A dually pulling a wedge trailer needs a Class A CDL when the combination is rated or weighs 26,001 lb or more and the trailer is rated over 10,000 lb. Some car haulers run a combination set up to stay under that line, which limits how much weight the trailer can carry. Tell us your ratings and we only offer loads that fit them.

What car haulers ask us first
"The car haul boards are enough."
They are a good source of cars. The work is turning single listings into a full, profitable trailer: the order, the timing and the counteroffers. That is the part we take on.
"COD customers do not pay."
We confirm the COD amount and payment form with the shipper before you accept, and it goes on the paperwork. If the terms are unclear, you hear about it before you load the car.
"Damage claims scare me."
They should be planned for, not feared. Photos and a signed condition report at both ends of every car are your record. We keep reminding you until it is a habit.
Car hauling terms new carriers ask about
- COD
- Cash on delivery: the customer pays you at drop-off. The amount and form of payment should be written down before you load the car.
- COP
- Cash on pickup: payment is collected when you load the car.
- Inop
- An inoperable vehicle that does not run or steer. It needs a winch and more time, so it should pay more.
- Condition report
- The vehicle diagram on the BOL where existing damage is marked and both sides sign.
- Dry run
- You arrive and the car is not there or not released. Ask in advance what the shipper pays if that happens.
- Open vs enclosed
- Open trailers leave cars exposed to weather and road spray. Enclosed trailers protect high-value cars and are a different kind of load.
DOCK 05FEE
Car hauling dispatch fee
One car hauler with 6+ months of authority pays 5% of gross. A new MC pays 7% for the first 6 months. 2 or more trucks pay 4% (limited-time rate). A wedge trailer pulled by a hotshot-style dually is dispatched as a car hauler. Only on loads you haul, no setup fee, month-to-month, cancel with 30 days notice.

Car hauling questions
Q-01How much does car hauler dispatch cost?
5% of gross for one car hauler with 6+ months of authority, 7% while the MC is under 6 months old, and 4% for 2 or more trucks (limited-time rate). Charged only on cars you haul. No setup fee, no minimum, month-to-month, cancel with 30 days notice.
Q-02Do you dispatch hotshot car haulers?
Yes. A dually with a wedge or 2 to 3 car trailer is a setup we plan for. We keep your truck and trailer ratings on file so every trip fits under them, and if you also haul hotshot freight, we can plan both.
Q-03How do you plan multi-car routes?
We start with the car that sets the lane, then look for cars that pick up close to it and drop along the same line. Each car's pickup window, the customer's hours and the payment terms decide the order. You see the whole trip before you accept it.
Q-04Do you help with vehicle inspection reports?
We remind you on every load and tell you what the customer expects at pickup and delivery. The inspection itself is yours: walk the car, mark the damage on the report, take photos from every side and get it signed at both ends.
Q-05Can a new MC haul cars?
Yes. Some car shippers and brokers want a minimum authority age or extra cargo coverage for vehicles, so early on we look for the ones that work with new carriers. Your fee is the new authority rate for the first months, then it moves automatically.
